WordPress to Zoho Cliq integration
FormBridge for Zoho Pro
A WordPress to Zoho Cliq integration turns a form submission into something your team sees in Zoho Cliq straight away — a new channel, a new thread, or a message posted in a channel you already have.
This guide shows how to set up the Zoho Cliq destination in FormBridge for Zoho: choose your account and the app, pick what the feed should create, set who can join the channel, map the channel name and message from your form, add optional conditional logic, then create the feed.
The Zoho Cliq destination is part of FormBridge for Zoho Pro. See how to install Pro and activate your licence.

Before you start
- FormBridge for Zoho Pro is installed and your licence is active.
- Your WordPress form is published and its trigger is set up in FormBridge for Zoho.
- Your Zoho account is authorised for Zoho Cliq under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. If it isn’t, follow the guide to creating a Zoho connection.
- You know what the feed should do in Cliq — create a channel, create a thread, or post in an existing channel — and your form collects the text each one needs.
How to set up a WordPress to Zoho Cliq integration
Once your form trigger and feed details are ready, follow these seven steps.
Step 1: Select your account
Destination › AccountOn the Destination step, open the Account dropdown and choose the Zoho account you authorised under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. Channels and messages are created in this account’s Cliq organisation.
No account in the list?Use Connect account at the top of the panel, or create the connection first and return to the feed. Learn how to create a Zoho connection.

Choosing the connected Zoho account. Step 2: Select Zoho Cliq as the Zoho app
Destination › Zoho appOpen the Zoho app dropdown and select Zoho Cliq. The dropdown lists every app your account is authorised for. Note that Cliq has no Organization dropdown: the row goes straight from the account to the app and then the module.
Zoho Cliq not in the list? The connection must include Zoho Cliq. Open FormBridge for Zoho → Connections, choose Edit access for the account, tick Zoho Cliq and reauthorise. Zoho grants only the permissions asked for when a connection is made.

Selecting Zoho Cliq as the Zoho app. Step 3: Choose what the feed creates
Destination › ModuleThe Module dropdown holds three options for Zoho Cliq:
- Create channel — a new channel for every submission. Good when each enquiry, booking or project deserves a space of its own.
- Create thread — a new thread, which keeps the conversation tidy inside a channel you already have.
- Message in channel — one message posted into an existing channel. The usual choice for notifying a team that a form came in.
Your choice decides the Zoho fields on the mapping step, so set it before you map anything. Once a module is chosen, the panel below changes to Destination settings, and the settings that don’t apply to it stay hidden.

Choosing between a channel, a thread and a message. Step 4: Set the destination settings
Destination › Destination settingsFor Create channel, the one setting here is Who can join, which sets the new channel’s visibility in Zoho Cliq. Private: only the members added keeps it to the people the feed adds.
Everything else about the channel — its name, description, members and first message — is set on the mapping step, not here.
Click Test connection to confirm FormBridge can reach the account, then click Continue.
A test creates a real channelSending a test creates a real channel in Zoho Cliq, named from the sample values, and adds the members. Delete it in Cliq afterwards if you do not want to keep it.

Setting who can join, then continuing. Step 5: Map the channel name and the first message
Mapping › Field mappingOn the Mapping step, give each Zoho field a form field. Both lists load on their own: the Zoho fields come from the module you chose, and the form fields from your form.
Channel name is a locked Required row — the feed will not save without it, and you cannot remove the row. Map a form field that produces a short, recognisable name. First message is optional: map the form’s message field to it and the channel opens with that text already posted.
Keep channel names uniqueCliq rejects a channel whose name is already taken. If the mapped field repeats — a plain subject line, say — add something that varies, such as the submitter’s name or email, so every channel gets its own name.

Mapping the channel name and the first message. Step 6: Send fixed values and add more rows
Mapping › Static valueClick + Add mapping row to fill more of the module’s fields. To send the same text every time, set Source to Static value: the form field column greys out and you type the text in the Static value box instead — a standing channel Description, for example.

Giving the channel a fixed description with a static value. Step 7: Set conditions and create the feed
Mapping › Conditional logic and Create feedConditional logic matters here more than on most destinations: without it, every submission creates a channel or posts a message, and a busy form quickly becomes noise. Turn on Only send when the conditions below match, then build your rules: conditions inside a group must all match, and a record passes if it matches any one group. While the switch is off the feed sends every record it receives, and any rules you have written are kept but not applied.
Read the full conditional logic guide →
When the mapping is ready, click Create feed. The feed starts listening to the selected form straight away, so submit the real form once and watch it arrive in Cliq.

Setting conditional logic, then creating the feed. Delivery logsEvery delivery, successful or failed, is recorded under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. Failed deliveries can be sent again with Resubmit.
- One feed listens to exactly one form and does one thing in Cliq. To create a channel and post a message elsewhere, build two feeds on the same form.
- Changing the account, app or module after mapping clears the mapping rows, so set those first.
- Channels created by a feed stay in Cliq until someone removes them. Test with conditional logic on, or tidy up afterwards.
Verify the integration
- Submit the real form with a channel name you will recognise.
- Check the log under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs and confirm the delivery succeeded.
- Open Zoho Cliq and find the new channel, thread or message.
- Check the details: the name, the first message, the description and who can see it.
- Delete the test channel in Cliq once you are satisfied.
Troubleshooting
Pick the symptom you’re seeing to get the fix.
Nothing appears in Zoho Cliq
- Likely cause
- The feed never ran, or Cliq rejected the request.
- How to fix it
- Open FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. No entry means the trigger didn’t fire, so check the form selected on the Trigger step. A failed entry shows the error Cliq returned.
Zoho Cliq missing from the dropdown
- Likely cause
- The connection was authorised before Cliq was added.
- How to fix it
- Open Connections → Edit access for the account, tick Zoho Cliq and reauthorise.
The channel is not created
- Likely cause
- The channel name is empty or already in use.
- How to fix it
- Channel name is a required row, so check the form field mapped to it actually has a value. If the name repeats between submissions, map something that varies as well.
The first message is missing
- Likely cause
- No form field is mapped to First message, or the field was left blank.
- How to fix it
- Map the form’s message field to First message. For text that should always appear, add a static value row instead.
Nobody else can see the channel
- Likely cause
- Who can join is set to private and the members were not added.
- How to fix it
- Change Who can join on the Destination step, or map the members on the mapping step so the right people are added when the channel is created.
Too many channels are being created
- Likely cause
- The feed runs on every submission.
- How to fix it
- Turn on conditional logic so only the submissions that matter create a channel, or switch the module to Message in channel and post into one channel instead.

Frequently asked questions
What can a WordPress form send to Zoho Cliq?
Three things, picked in the Module dropdown: create a channel, create a thread, or post a message in a channel. The mapping fields change with the choice.
Does Zoho Cliq have an Organization dropdown?
No. Cliq goes straight from the account to the app and then the module, so there is no Organization step for this destination.
Where do I set the channel name and the first message?
On the mapping step, not in the destination settings. Channel name is a locked Required row, and First message is an optional row you can map or leave out.
What does Who can join do?
It sets the new channel’s visibility in Zoho Cliq. Private means only the members added to the channel can see it; the other options open it up more widely.
Does sending a test create a real channel?
Yes. A test creates a real channel in Zoho Cliq, named from the sample values, and adds the members. Delete it in Cliq afterwards if you do not want to keep it.
Can one form create a channel and post a message too?
Yes, with two feeds on the same form: one with the Create channel module and one with Message in channel.
