How to connect Formidable Forms to Zoho People
12 steps, from creating the feed to a live form submission reaching Zoho People.
Steps 1–4 · Trigger and details
Step 1: Create a new integration feed
FormBridge for Zoho › All FeedsIn your WordPress dashboard, open FormBridge for Zoho, click All Feeds, then click + Add New Feed.

Open All Feeds and click + Add New Feed. Step 2: Select Formidable Forms as the trigger
New feed › Trigger appFrom the list of trigger apps, select Formidable Forms. The feed will now run each time the Formidable form you choose is submitted.

Select Formidable Forms from the trigger apps. Step 3: Enter a feed title
Name this feed › Feed titleOn the Name this feed screen, enter the required information. In the Feed title field, enter a name of your choice.

Enter a feed title you’ll recognise later. Step 4: Select your form
New feed › FormOpen the Form dropdown, which lists your Formidable forms. Select the one that should send data to Zoho, then click Continue.
Each feed listens to exactly one form. To connect another Formidable form, create another feed.
One feed, one formEach feed listens to exactly one form. To connect another Formidable form, create another feed.

Choose your Formidable form, then click Continue.
Steps 5–12 · Destination and mapping
Step 5: Select your account
Destination › AccountOn the Destination step, open the Account dropdown and choose the Zoho account you authorised under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. Records are created in this account.
No account in the list?Use Connect account at the top of the panel, or create the connection first and return to the feed. Learn how to create a Zoho connection.

Choosing the connected Zoho account. Step 6: Select Zoho People as the Zoho app
Destination › Zoho appOpen the Zoho app dropdown and select Zoho People. The dropdown lists every app your account is authorised for.
Zoho People not in the list? The connection must include Zoho People. Open FormBridge for Zoho → Connections, choose Edit access for the account, tick Zoho People and reauthorise. Zoho grants only the permissions asked for when a connection is made.

Selecting Zoho People as the Zoho app. Step 7: Select the module
Destination › ModuleFrom the Module dropdown, choose what the feed should do in Zoho People. Each option says both the record type and the action:
- Employees: find, then update or create
- Onboarding candidates: find, then update or create
- Leave: submit a leave request
- Your own Zoho People forms, such as Form “Asset”, Form “Travel Request” or Form “Department”, each with find, then update or create
For a staff or HR intake form, choose Employees. The list loads from your own Zoho People account, so the forms you see here are the ones your organisation has set up.

Choosing the Zoho People module. Step 8: Check the connection and set duplicate handling
Destination › Destination settings and Duplicate handlingUnder Destination settings, click Test connection to confirm FormBridge can reach the account and module you chose. Settings that do not apply to the chosen module stay hidden.
Under Duplicate handling, tick Update the matching Zoho record instead of creating a duplicate if an existing record should be updated rather than a second one created. Then click Continue.

Testing the connection and setting duplicate handling. Step 9: Map the required fields
Mapping › Field mappingOn the Mapping step, give each Zoho field a form field. Both lists load on their own: the Zoho fields come from the module you chose, and the form fields from your form.
Rows marked Required are locked, because Zoho People won’t create the record without them. For Employees those are Employee ID, First Name, Last Name and Email address; you only choose where each value comes from.

Mapping form fields to the required Zoho People fields. Step 10: Send fixed values and add more rows
Mapping › Static valueClick + Add mapping row to send more fields. To send the same value on every submission, set Source to Static value: the form field column greys out and you type the value in the Static value box instead — a nickname or a location, for example.

Adding static values with Add mapping row. Step 11: Set conditional logic (optional)
Mapping › Conditional logicConditional logic lets a feed send only the submissions you want. Turn on Only send when the conditions below match, then build your rules: conditions inside a group must all match, and a record passes if it matches any one group.
While the switch is off the feed sends every record it receives, and any rules you have written are kept but not applied. You can leave this section alone if every submission should reach Zoho People.
Read the full conditional logic guide →

Setting conditional logic for the feed. Step 12: Test and save the feed
Mapping › Test this feedClick Send test record. FormBridge sends one real record to Zoho People using the feed as last saved: static values go as they are, and mapped form fields are filled with realistic sample data, such as a valid email address and phone number. Open the module in Zoho People to check that the record arrived with the values you expect.
When the test looks right, click Save feed. The feed starts listening to the selected form straight away, so submit the real form once to confirm the whole flow.

Sending a test record, then saving the feed. Delivery logsEvery delivery, successful or failed, is recorded under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. Failed deliveries can be sent again with Resubmit.
- One feed listens to exactly one form. If two forms should send data to Zoho People, create two feeds.
- Changing the account, app or module after mapping clears the mapping rows, so set those first.
- To see exact Zoho People field names, go to FormBridge for Zoho → Connections and click Modules & Fields for the account.
Verify the integration
- Submit the real form using an email address you can recognise.
- Check the log under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs and confirm the delivery succeeded.
- Find the record in the Zoho People module you selected.
- Check the values, including any static values.
- Test duplicate handling, if it’s on, by submitting the same details again. The existing record should update.
Troubleshooting
Pick the symptom you’re seeing to get the fix.
No record is created
- Likely cause
- A required field is unmapped, or its form field is empty.
- How to fix it
- Check the locked Required rows on the mapping step. For Employees, Employee ID, First Name, Last Name and Email address all need a value. Then open the Logs screen for the error Zoho People returned.
Zoho People missing from the dropdown
- Likely cause
- The connection was authorised before People was added.
- How to fix it
- Open Connections → Edit access for the account, tick Zoho People and reauthorise.
A form is missing from the module list
- Likely cause
- The list was loaded before the form existed in Zoho People.
- How to fix it
- Use the reload button beside the Module dropdown, then pick the form again.
Nothing reaches Zoho
- Likely cause
- Conditional logic is on and no record matches the rules.
- How to fix it
- Open the conditional logic panel and check the rules, or switch off Only send when the conditions below match to send every record.
Duplicate records
- Likely cause
- Duplicate handling is turned off in the feed.
- How to fix it
- Tick the duplicate handling checkbox on the Destination step so a matching record is updated instead.
Mapping rows cleared
- Likely cause
- The account, app or module changed after mapping.
- How to fix it
- Set the account, app and module first, then map the fields.
