WordPress to Zoho Projects Integration
FormBridge for Zoho Pro
A WordPress to Zoho Projects integration turns each form submission into a task or an issue in Zoho Projects, so requests reach your team without manual entry or code.
This guide shows how to set up the Zoho Projects destination in FormBridge for Zoho: choose your account and the app, pick the portal, project and record type, set the destination settings, map your fields, add optional conditional logic, then create the feed.
The Zoho Projects destination is part of FormBridge for Zoho Pro. See how to install Pro and activate your licence.

- Your WordPress form is published and its trigger is set up in FormBridge for Zoho.
- Your Zoho account is authorised for Zoho Projects under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. If it isn’t, follow the guide to creating a Zoho connection.
- The portal and project that should receive the data already exist, and your form collects a value for the task name.
How to set up a WordPress to Zoho Projects integration
Once your form trigger and feed details are ready, follow these eight steps.
Step 1: Select your account
Destination › AccountOn the Destination step, open the Account dropdown and choose the Zoho account you authorised under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. Records are created in this account.
No account in the list?Use Connect account at the top of the panel, or create the connection first and return to the feed. Learn how to create a Zoho connection.

Choosing the connected Zoho account. Step 2: Select Zoho Projects as the Zoho app
Destination › Zoho appOpen the Zoho app dropdown and select Zoho Projects. The dropdown lists every app your account is authorised for.
Zoho Projects not in the list? The connection must include Zoho Projects. Open FormBridge for Zoho → Connections, choose Edit access for the account, tick Zoho Projects and reauthorise. Zoho grants only the permissions asked for when a connection is made.

Selecting Zoho Projects as the Zoho app. Step 3: Select the portal
Destination › OrganizationFrom the Organization dropdown, choose the Zoho Projects portal that holds your projects. Once you pick one, the field is relabelled Portal in the steps that follow.
Choose the right portal before going further, because the next dropdown lists only the projects inside it.

Choosing the Zoho Projects portal. Step 4: Select the project and record type
Destination › ModuleFrom the Module dropdown, choose the project that should receive the submission. Each project appears twice, once for each record type:
- Project “…”: create or update a task — for request, briefing or to-do forms.
- Project “…”: create or update an issue — for bug reports and support forms.
Use the reload button beside the dropdown if a project you just created isn’t listed yet.

Choosing the project and the record type. Step 5: Set the destination settings
Destination › Destination settingsThe Destination settings panel decides how the record is created. Only the settings that apply to the module you chose are shown.
- What to do — Create a new one for every submission, or update an existing record.
- Task list — where a new task goes. An update never moves a task.
- Default owner — used for a new task when Owner email isn’t mapped, or comes back empty.
- Status — set on a new task, and on an updated one only when chosen here.
Click Test connection to check that FormBridge can reach the portal and project. Sending a test creates a real task in the chosen project with the sample values. Then click Continue.

Setting what the feed creates, and where. Step 6: Map your form fields
Mapping › Field mappingOn the Mapping step, give each Zoho field a form field. Both lists load on their own: the Zoho fields come from the module you chose, and the form fields from your form.
Rows marked Required are locked, because Zoho Projects won’t create the record without them. For a task that is Task name; you only choose where the value comes from. Map Owner email if the task should go to a particular person rather than the default owner.

Mapping form fields to Zoho Projects task fields. Step 7: Send fixed values and add more rows
Mapping › Static valueClick + Add mapping row to send more fields. To send the same value on every submission, set Source to Static value: the form field column greys out and you type the value in the Static value box instead — a fixed priority, for example.

Adding static values with Add mapping row. Step 8: Set conditions and create the feed
Mapping › Conditional logic and Create feedConditional logic lets a feed send only the submissions you want, such as requests for one team. Turn on Only send when the conditions below match, then build your rules: conditions inside a group must all match, and a record passes if it matches any one group. While the switch is off the feed sends every record it receives, and any rules you have written are kept but not applied.
Read the full conditional logic guide →
When the mapping is ready, click Create feed. The feed starts listening to the selected form straight away, so submit the real form once to confirm the whole flow.

Setting conditional logic, then creating the feed. Delivery logsEvery delivery, successful or failed, is recorded under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. Failed deliveries can be sent again with Resubmit.
- One feed listens to exactly one form. If two forms should send data to Zoho Projects, create two feeds.
- Changing the account, app, portal or project after mapping clears the mapping rows, so set those first.
- The Module dropdown only lists projects from the portal selected above it, so check the portal whenever a project seems to be missing.
Verify the integration
- Submit the real form using a task name you can recognise.
- Check the log under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs and confirm the delivery succeeded.
- Find the task in the project and task list you selected.
- Check the values, including the owner, the status and any static values.
- Submit again to confirm the feed behaves as you set it in Step 5, creating a new task or updating the existing one.
Troubleshooting
Pick the symptom you’re seeing to get the fix.
No task is created
- Likely cause
- The required Task name row has no value.
- How to fix it
- Check the locked Required row on the mapping step, then open the Logs screen for the error Zoho Projects returned.
Zoho Projects missing from the dropdown
- Likely cause
- The connection was authorised before Projects was added.
- How to fix it
- Open Connections → Edit access for the account, tick Zoho Projects and reauthorise.
A project is missing from the module list
- Likely cause
- The list was loaded before the project existed, or a different portal is selected.
- How to fix it
- Check the portal in Step 3, then use the reload button beside the Module dropdown.
Task assigned to the wrong person
- Likely cause
- Owner email isn’t mapped, or the value came back empty.
- How to fix it
- Map your form’s email field to Owner email, or set the right person as the default owner in Step 5.
Task in the wrong list
- Likely cause
- A different task list is set in the destination settings.
- How to fix it
- Change the task list in Step 5. Note that an update never moves a task that already exists.
Nothing reaches Zoho
- Likely cause
- Conditional logic is on and no record matches the rules.
- How to fix it
- Open the conditional logic panel and check the rules, or switch off Only send when the conditions below match to send every record.

Frequently asked questions
Can a feed create issues as well as tasks?
Yes. Each project appears twice in the Module dropdown: once for create or update a task, and once for create or update an issue. Pick whichever suits the form.
Which field is required for a Zoho Projects task?
Task name. It appears as a locked Required row on the mapping step, so you only choose where the value comes from.
How does the feed decide who owns the task?
It uses the Owner email you map. When that isn’t mapped or comes back empty, the default owner from the destination settings is used instead.
Does an update move a task to a different task list?
No. The task list applies to new tasks only. An update never moves a task that already exists.
Can two forms send data to Zoho Projects?
Yes. Each feed listens to exactly one form, so create a separate feed for each form.
