FormBridge for Zoho connects your SureForms form to Zoho through a single feed. This guide covers the complete process: creating the feed, selecting SureForms as the trigger, choosing your Zoho account and CRM module, mapping the fields and testing the result.

  • FormBridge for Zoho is installed and activated on the same site.
  • Your Zoho account is authorised under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. If it isn’t, follow the guide to creating a Zoho connection.
  • You know which Zoho CRM module should receive the data, and your form collects that module’s required fields.

How to connect SureForms to Zoho CRM

Nine steps, from creating the feed to a live submission reaching Zoho CRM.

Steps 1–4 · Trigger and details

  1. Step 1: Create a new integration feed

FormBridge for Zoho › All Feeds

In your WordPress dashboard, open FormBridge for Zoho, click All Feeds, then click + Add New Feed.

  2. Step 2: Select SureForms as the trigger

    New feed › Trigger app

From the list of trigger apps, select SureForms. The feed will now run each time the SureForms form you choose is submitted.

  3. Step 3: Enter a feed title

    New feed › Feed title

On the Name this feed screen, enter the required information. In the Feed title field, enter a name of your choice, for example SureForms to Zoho CRM leads. The title is used inside WordPress only, in the feed list and the delivery log.

  4. Step 4: Select your SureForms form

    New feed › Form

Open the Form dropdown, which lists your SureForms forms. Select the one that should send data to Zoho, then click Continue.

    One feed, one form

Each feed listens to exactly one form. To connect another SureForms form, create another feed.

Steps 5–9 · Destination and mapping

  1. Step 5: Select your connected Zoho account

    Destination tab › Connected account

Open the Destination tab and choose the Zoho account you authorised under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections. Records are created in this account, and each feed can use a different one.

  2. Step 6: Select Zoho CRM as the destination

    Destination tab › Zoho App

From the Zoho App dropdown, select Zoho CRM. This tells FormBridge to send the submitted SureForms data to Zoho CRM.

  3. Step 7: Select the Zoho CRM module

Destination tab › Module / resource

Choose the module that will receive your form data. You can select Leads, Contacts, Deals, Accounts or another available module. This example uses Leads, the usual choice for contact and enquiry forms.

  4. Step 8: Configure duplicate handling

    Destination tab › Duplicate handling

Duplicate handling checks whether a matching record already exists before a new one is created. If a match is found, FormBridge updates that record instead of creating a duplicate.

Choose the field used to find a match, such as Email or Name, then click Continue.

  5. Step 9: Map your SureForms fields and create the feed

Mapping tab › Match the fields

Field mapping connects each SureForms field to the Zoho CRM field that stores its value. For example, map your form’s Email field to the Zoho CRM Email field.

    Required field

The Leads module needs a value for Last Name. If it isn’t mapped, Zoho CRM won’t create the lead.

You can also assign a static value to any Zoho CRM field, which is sent with every submission. This suits fixed information such as Lead Source or Lead Status. For picklist fields, use a value that already exists in that picklist.

Example mapping for the Leads module

Click Add Mapping Row when you need to map additional fields.

Once the required fields are mapped, click Create feed. The feed starts listening to the selected SureForms form straight away, and can be disabled later without being deleted.

    Delivery logs

Every delivery, successful or failed, is recorded under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. Failed deliveries can be sent again with Resubmit.

Good to know
  • One feed listens to exactly one form. If two SureForms forms should both send data to Zoho CRM, create two feeds.
  • Changing the Zoho app, account or module after mapping clears the mapping rows, so set those first.
  • To see exact Zoho CRM field API names, go to FormBridge for Zoho → Connections and click Modules & Fields for the relevant account.

Required fields by Zoho CRM module

Zoho CRM only creates a record when its mandatory fields have a value. Map these fields, or give them a static value.

ModuleRequired fieldAPI name
LeadsLast NameLast_Name
ContactsLast NameLast_Name
AccountsAccount NameAccount_Name
DealsDeal Name, Stage, and Pipeline when pipelines are enabledDeal_Name, Stage, Pipeline

Your Zoho CRM admin may have made other fields mandatory too. Check the module under Connections → Modules & Fields and map those fields as well.

Verify the SureForms Zoho CRM integration

  1. Submit a test entry on the page holding your SureForms form, using an email address you can recognise.
  2. Check the log under FormBridge for Zoho → Logs and confirm the delivery succeeded.
  3. Find the record in the Zoho CRM module you selected by searching for the test email.
  4. Check the values, including static values such as Lead Source.
  5. Test duplicate handling, if it’s on, by submitting the same email again. The existing record should update.

Troubleshooting

Pick the symptom you’re seeing to get the fix.

No lead is created

Likely cause
A required field isn’t mapped.
How to fix it
Map every field Zoho marks as required for the selected module, then check the Logs screen for the error returned by Zoho CRM.

No form in the dropdown

Likely cause
No SureForms form has been created yet, or SureForms isn’t active.
How to fix it
Create and save a SureForms form, confirm the plugin is active, then reopen the feed and open the Form dropdown again.

Mapping rows cleared

Likely cause
The app, account or module changed after mapping.
How to fix it
Set the account, app and module first, then map the fields. Changing any of the three resets the rows.

Duplicate records

Likely cause
Duplicate handling is turned off in the feed.
How to fix it
Turn on duplicate handling in Step 8 and pick the field used to match an existing record, usually email.

Field name not found

Likely cause
The API name doesn’t exist in the selected module.
How to fix it
Check the correct name under FormBridge for Zoho → Connections → Modules & Fields.

Wrong form firing

Likely cause
The feed’s trigger points at a different form.
How to fix it
Check which form the trigger points at. Give every form that needs its own Zoho CRM connection a separate feed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect SureForms to Zoho CRM?

Yes. Use SureForms as the trigger and Zoho CRM as the action. After selecting your form, choose Zoho CRM, pick a module such as Leads or Contacts, and map your SureForms fields to the matching CRM fields.

Do I need coding for the SureForms Zoho CRM integration?

No. FormBridge for Zoho is set up entirely from its settings screens. You select SureForms, choose your form, pick Zoho CRM and map the fields without writing any code.

Can I connect different SureForms forms to Zoho?

Yes. Create a separate feed for each form. One form can create Zoho CRM leads while another sends data to Zoho Desk, Zoho Books or another supported Zoho app.

Can I send one SureForms form to multiple Zoho apps?

Yes. Create one feed per Zoho app and select the same SureForms form as the trigger in each feed.

Can I send data to a module other than Leads?

Yes. FormBridge can send data to available Zoho CRM modules such as Contacts, Accounts, Deals and custom modules. Select the module under Module / resource, then map that module’s required fields before creating the feed.

Does this update existing records or always create new ones?

It depends on duplicate handling. When it is off, each submission creates a new record. When it is on, FormBridge checks a selected field such as email and updates the matching Zoho CRM record.

How do I check that a submission reached Zoho?

Submit the form with test data, then open FormBridge for Zoho → Logs. Every delivery is listed with its result, and failed deliveries can be resubmitted.

Where do I find Zoho CRM field API names?

Go to FormBridge for Zoho → Connections, open the connected Zoho account and select Modules & Fields. Use this when a field is missing during mapping or you need to confirm its API name.
